MEDIA STATEMENT The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) has responded to the injudicious remarks made by the Speaker of the House, Hon. D. Gisele Isaac-Arrindell, on the Observer Radio program of Wednesday, April 23 2014. The Speaker asked aloud, while on the talk-show, “what is there to stop the Governor General from signing the order?” which the Speaker believes would then make lawful the proposed new boundaries of the constituencies in Antigua. The residents of St. Mary's want roads to be repaired and are fed up with the UPP's mismanagement and lack of consistent support. On Sunday April 6th the ABLP maintained the high level of excitement from supporters in an island-wide mega whistle-stop. Thousands gathered at the Parliament start and were joined by droves of others along the way. Thousands of supporters lined the streets, and welcome the parade as they ended at the Rural North Public meeting. Comrade Max Fernandez of Rural North, Arthur Nibbs of Barbuda and Londell Benjamin of Rural West all greeted the crowd.
