Senator Paul Chet Greene is the ABLP’s candidate for St. Paul’s. Born and raised in Liberta, he has been a key figure in Antigua and Barbuda’s national sports administration, serving as Commissioner of Sports in the Ministry of Sports, President of the Antigua and Barbuda Olympic Association, and an international football official administrator.

Chet is a proud son of St. Paul’s, having lived there for most of his life as the fifth of six children born to Joseph and Areril Greene. He studied at the Liberta Primary and All Saints Secondary schools, where he was quickly identified as a rising star by his peers and teachers. As a student, he participated in both sports and academic competitions and excelled as a team leader.

Chet received a degree in sports administration from the Université de Poitiers in France, which he immediately put to use upon his return to Antigua. He served as the president of the Liberte Sports Club, and was captain of the Liberte Parish Cricket League team, where he holds the record for most wins.

Today, Chet owns several highly successful bakeries in Liberta and Barbuda. He is dedicated to his community and employs more than 20 local residents to help run his shops. Chet has received numerous awards local, regional and international awards to acknowledge his community involvement and activism.

As a politician Chet has brought Christmas cheer to the children and less fortunate of the St. Paul’s community each year with a hosting of his annual Christmas party and food hamper distribution. His annual ‘Ya-so-so’ St. Paul’s J’ouvert held each year on White Monday is a national staple, drawing thousands from all walks of life.

Chet is a committed father to his five children; Chett II, Chet III, Chette, Chet-Lhyn and Aleah.
