Prime Minister the Hon. Gaston Browne Receives Knighthood from Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George
St. JOHN’S, Antigua and Barbuda – 4th November, 2014……Grand Master of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George, His Royal Highness Prince Charges of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, on Sunday conferred a Knighthood on the Hon. Gaston Browne, in his capacity as Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda.
During a ceremony at Government House on Sunday, the Countries leader received the Silver Benemerenti Medal of the Sacred Military Order of St George and Knight Grand Cross of the Royal order of Francis I.
The text of the Citation Reads:
“On the occasion of the Official Visit by the Grand Master and Cardinal Grand Prior of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George to Antigua and Barbuda, and in recognition of the nation’s contribution to enriching its Christian identity through charitable and humanitarian endeavour and to inter-religion harmony, the rank and dignity of Silver Benemerenti Medal of the Sacred Military Order of St. George and Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Francis I is hereby granted to the Honourable Gaston Browne by virtue of the office held within the institutions of Antigua and Barbuda.”
